Centered on supporting students and alumni, the career services office delivers information on effective resume writing, interview skills, and job search techniques through classroom presentations, workshops and on-campus events.

Focus2 is a dynamic tool that can be used throughout all stages of your education and career planning process.

Students can benefit from the self-assessment tool, which allows them to explore majors that match their interests and support their career goals. Alumni can utilize Focus2 to make career plans, learn about career growth options, plan for advanced education and more. Get started by creating an account. Use college access code “NSCC.”

Find, search, or browse across 900+ occupations based on your goals and needs using O*Net OnLine. Then use comprehensive reports to learn about requirements, characteristics, and available opportunities for your selected occupation.

Campus Employment

On-campus employment is a great way to build your resume, gain experience and connect with the campus community. To work on campus, students must meet the following requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • At least six credits registered in fall/spring or three credits in summer
  • Good academic standing
  • Pass BCI background check (completed at NSCC)
