Report an Emergency

All criminal actions or other emergencies occurring on campus should be reported immediately to the NSCC Campus Police Department by telephone at 419-267-5511 or in person. The office is located on the first floor of the Atrium behind the Welcome Desk.

In addition to the regular campus telephone(s), the College has a number of emergency black telephones located in the hallways on each floor of the four wings. The emergency phones will ring directly into the campus police emergency cell phone. The NSCC Campus Police Department also utilizes a closed camera security system to assist with the safety of the campus community.

Parking Regulations

Students may park in any of the College lots or spaces that are not marked as reserved for others. Fines for violating parking regulations range from $25 to $50 per violation. Payment may be made in person at the business office, Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Receipts will be issued only for payments made in person during these hours. Payments may also be mailed to the NSCC Business Office, 22600 State Route 34, Archbold, Ohio 43502. Appeal forms can be found in the NSCC Campus Police Office and should be submitted within ten days of the date of the citation. Please Note: The speed limit in the parking lots is 20 miles per hour.

Security & Safety

The NSCC Campus Police Department makes every effort to provide a safe and secure environment that allows all members of the campus community an opportunity to achieve their educational goals. Personnel of the department are on duty during all hours that the campus is open.

The NSCC Campus Police Office offers a variety of services to students, staff and guests while on campus. Services include: escorts to and from vehicles, vehicle jump-starts, unlocks and stop-bys.

Background Checks & Fingerprinting

No appointment is needed. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Visits must enter through the A-10 entrance. Available hours for these services include:

Monday | 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Tuesday & Wednesday | 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Thursday & Friday | 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

If you are required to pay for a background check, please do so in the NSCC Business Office. Contracted web checks and employee checks should present the slip provided by the company or NSCC.

Cost:

  • BCI – $29
  • FBI – $33
  • Combination of both – $62

What to bring for your background check:

  • State issued ID
  • Social security card or number

Campus Security Reports

The campus security report statistics are compiled in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and Campus Crime Statistics Act. The Clery Act mandates the manner and format in which statistics are collected and published. Reports are available at the links below. You can also request a hard copy by visiting the NSCC Campus Police Office, located in the Atrium, behind the Welcome Center.

Campus Sex Crime Protection Act

The Northwest State Community College Campus Police, in compliance with the Campus Sex Crime Prevention Act, makes the following information available to the college campus community in order to afford those from the campus community with the opportunity to be aware of the condition of their community environment concerning known sex offenders. Photo Identification Cards

A College Photo ID is required for entry onto campus and for entry into classrooms and labs. College Photo ID’s are printed at the Police Department. A photo will be taken on campus at the Police Department. A driver’s license or other government identification are required to obtain an ID Card. Lost or broken cards can be replaced after a $10 replacement fee is paid at the Business Office. College Photo ID’s can be obtained Monday-Thursday 8am to 6pm and Friday 8am to 3:30pm.
